About the role

Cardno is currently seeking applications from qualified service provider to provide technical assistance to the development of training modules identified to the Department of Education's (DepEd) competency-based learning and development (CBLD) Plan that aims to enhance existing capacity and competency of key DepEd stakeholders involved in research management.

This program works closely with the Philippines Department of Education (DepEd) to improve the quality of teachers, curriculum and assessment, learning materials and education facilities and to build the Department’s capacity so that quality, effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery can be improved. 

Remuneration

This is a locally engaged position and a competitive salary package will be offered to the preferred candidate in line with local labour laws.

About the role

As Teaching and Learning Manager, you will lead and manage the Teacher Development (pre / in service), Curriculum & Assessment (C&A) and Education Leadership Management (ELM) sub-components. You will focus on:

  • Providing professional leadership, direction and support for all Teacher Development (TD), C&A and ELM sub-components personnel and operations.
  • Contributing to the Team in all aspects of planning, delivery, evaluation and reporting
  • Ensuring effectiveness of program activities through quality assuring products, reports and plans and contribute to shared knowledge and understanding.
  • Establishing and maintaining working relationships with a wide network of relevant government stakeholders, Implementing Partners, donors and private sector.

The Basic Education Sector Transformation (BEST) Program is a partnership between the Governments of the Philippines and Australia, which aims to contribute to improving the quality of teachers, curriculum and assessment, learning materials and education facilities and to build the Department of Education’s capacity to continuously enrich quality, effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery.

 

Remuneration

This position will be remunerated in line with the Australian Government's Long-term Adviser Remuneration Tables (http://dfat.gov.au/about-us/publications/Documents/adviser-remuneration-framework-2016.pdf) and will fall within Discipline Group B, Job Levels 4 . (Monthly fee AUD 11,322 up to AUD 14,151 plus a mobility allowance and reimbursement of housing up to a set limit). The level at which the Adviser is engaged will be based on the successful candidate's relevant experience.

About the role

As Governance, Knowledge and Innovation Manager, you will lead a team of national senior positions, technical and project officers as well as international and short-term positions to support sustainable capacity strengthening across the program. You will be responsible for the major planning and implementation requirements of the Program specifically the monitoring and evaluation, knowledge management, communications and gender requirements of the Program. You will focus on:
