Gender and Social Inclusion Officer

The Gender and Social Inclusion Officer will support and coordinate the ongoing development and implementation of BEST’s Program’s approach to gender and social inclusion. The Gender and Social Inclusion Officer will work specifically within the framework of Component One activities but will also support all initiatives across all elements of the BEST Program and be aware of cross cutting issues within the Program.

Language and Style Editor

The Language and Style Editors are responsible for editing and proofreading the LAC session guides. The editors must ensure that the edited documents: a) are free from typographical and grammatical errors, b) have a cohesive and coherent presentation of discussion and key messages, c) have consistency in form and style across sections of the documents based on the Chicago Manual of Style, and d) are written in reader-friendly style and format that is engaging to the reader and additionally can be easily understood by non-expert readers.


Capacity Development Specialist

The Capacity Development Specialist will be responsible for the preparation of the overall design for the conduct of sessions to implement the capacity building session on facilitation. This includes taking stock of the different learning needs of participants as well as specific interventions to enable them in becoming effective facilitators. The main objective of the engagement is to support BEST’s initiatives to build, strengthen, and capacitate relevant DepEd units and personnel involved in conducting and managing research and policy development, planning systems development, school-based management, and monitoring and evaluation.

Project Officer

The Project Officer will support the work of the Basic Education Sector Transformation (BEST) Program for the Planning Service and Bureau of Human Resource and Organizational Development (BHROD) of the Department of Education.

Short-Term Adviser for Development of Training Modules

The Short-Term Adviser is responsible for developing the learning resource packages (training designs, session/ training guides, slide decks, and handouts) for all programs identified in the Department of Education’s Capacity-based Learning and Development (CBLD) Plan on Research Management. It is also expected that s/he will coordinate and consult with critical stakeholders and subject matter experts (especially for highly specialized topics) to ensure proper scoping and appropriateness of content.

Short-Term Adviser for Learning Resource Package Development

The Short-Term Adviser for the Development of Learning Resource Package on Policy Development Process will coordinate and consult with critical stakeholders and subject matter experts (especially for highly specialized topics) to ensure proper scoping and appropriateness of content.

Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

The M&E Officer will support the Program Planning, M&E, and Reporting Manager in monitoring and ensuring high quality and timely program outputs. She/he will also help ensure that program implementation remains strategic and that intended outputs and outcomes are achieved.

Information Management Specialist

The Information Management Specialist will lead the formulation, implementation and monitoring of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRMIS) plans of schools, ensuring timely delivery of targets and expected outputs and outcomes and engagement of relevant stakeholders. He or she will manage the day-to-day operations of the DRRMIS team and provide regular progress reports to the Education MIS Specialist and DepEd partners.

National Innovation Fund Finance Officer

The National Innovation Fund Finance Officer will be responsible for assuring the sub‐grantees financial and administrative systems are adequate for compliance with Cardno and DFAT requirements. He or she will ensure that sub‐grantees received adequate funding to carry out programmatic activities on a timely basis, reviewing the sub‐ grantees financial report and supported documentation for accuracy, provide training and technical support to the sub‐grantees when deemed necessary.
